Thoracoscopy in verification of damage to the diaphragm in thoracoabdominal trauma

Abstract

In this paper, an experience treating 47 patients with thoracoabdominal injuries of various kinds. Assisting in 33 (70%) of the 47 victims, the control group, based on traditional methods of examination and treatment. In the main group included 14 (30%) of the 47 victims who have a range of diagnostic and treatment interventions were included initial thoracoscopy under local anesthesia during the execution of drainage of pleural cavity. In this informative it, in wounds or breaks a diaphragm, is not inferior to VATS under general anesthesia and can in some cases to avoid needless manipulation under anesthesia.
