Abstract
By light and electron microscopy, investigated the mucosa of the duodenum in patients with chronic pancreatitis. It was found in light-optical investigation of samples of the duodenum a signifi cant stereotype of structural rearrangements of the mucous membrane. These included the general characteristics of pathological changes: diffuse dystrophy of the intestinal epithelium, disturbance of the structure and function of Brunner's gland, multiple sclerosis, and lymphoplasmacytic infi ltration of the lamina propria. Ultrastructure of the epithelium of the duodenum included the expansion of intercellular spaces, the deformation of microvilli, degradation of cytoplasmic organelles, the appearance of large lysosomes and mielopodobnyh formation, which refl ects the violation of transport and metabolic processes in the enterocytes.
